Ford f150 turns over but wont start

Likes: 61. Received 21 Likes on 18 Posts. 2019 F150 wont start. My truck just died in the grocery store parking lot and had to be towed to the dealership. It has 39,000 miles so just out of warranty and dealership said it won't be until next week untit they can do diagnostic for $190. Its a 5.0 It turns over but wont start then keeps turning over.

So the starter on my truck likes to spin, but not engage. Basically, I will go to start it and all I get is the spinning, eventually it engages and starts almost immediately, The longer the truck sits for, the longer it takes before the starter actually engages. I had the starter bench tested, and it works. The starter solenoid is fairly new ...98 F-150 won't crank. Just got 4.2 stabbed back in, truck has been sitting for a year and a half. The instrument lights and everything work like they're supposed to but it won't crank over. I can jump the solenoid, and it turns over fine, just not with the key. Wire harness running over drivers side valve cover could be worn and created a short. Do you have a tuner or chip installed, make sure contacts are secure and clean. Unlikely fuel filter, but change it anyway.

No check engine light came up, just the Oil Pressure light followed by a brief alarm.
