I have shot the Hyperion on my SFAR, Virtus, and Thoroughbred Armament 14.5”. The SFAR gasses my face heavy, and I mean heavy, after just 2-5 rounds. The Virtus is noticeably gassy but not terrible. It does have a LOT of proprietary parts, including upper, lower, bolt carrier group, buffer tube, etc. My understanding is that they get there by moving back the trigger group, which messes with quite a bit. Big advantage of aero is not having all the proprietary parts. If you're going to go with the most budget conscious options for an aero build you'd do better going with the sig.
