Kawasaki engine surges at full throttle

1 post · Joined 2017. #1 · Jul 14, 2017. I've had a rough idle with my mule for a couple weeks now. Runs well under load but dies, surges and idles horrible. I've cleaned the throttle body, ruled out bad gas, changed spark plugs, checked the fuel pump and filters. The only thing I've been able to determine is it's running very rich.

This will force extra fuel into the carb bowls. If the engine runs fine at top end, you may have a weak fuel pump.
