Here is a link to a picture of a 1959 horizontal Janitrol furnace.Note the model on it was FHS65 ( The H stood for Horizontal)65,000btus. Yours is a FVS (V stands for Vertical) 100,000 btus. The serial number system was the same as for Goodman systems, which is that the first two numbers are the year of manufacture. The data plate on the side of the unit also had Goodman Manufacturing listed at the top.
