The ZF S5-47 is very similar to and shares a number of ..., I will be updating my uncertainty's under each item throughout the thread also. ZF-5 Transmission. The transmission can be from any 7.3 diesel engine (small block gas will not work, big block 460 gas will work with modification I'm not getting into here). Early '95 and previous will be a "5S-42" model. Late 95 to 97 will be a "5S-47" model.
