Shift indicator light blinking. I recently replaced the starter on my 2013 Accord Sport with a CVT transmission. I pulled and checked fuses and relays before I replaced the starter and the shifter selection indicator on the dash started flashing a mash up of all the possible gear selections. The immobilizer is doing it's job - it doesn't recognize the response it got from that key's RFID chip, so it says "no start for you". The battery in the key has nothing to do with the RFID chip in the key; that chip gets it's power wirelessly from the immobilizer's antenna., Registered. The "D" light indicator starting blinking and the malfunction indicator came on. I turned the car off and the "D" light went off, but the Malfunction light stayed on., For anyone in the future that comes across this: Get in car, press start button twice to turn on dash lights, press and hold scroller on each notification till it goes to the next one (15-20 secs, they may come up more than once), once done on all notifications press start button once to turn off dash, start car., I have a 2001 honda accord EX (V6). The car does not start some times. Normal Start up: after moving from I-->II key position, the green key light comes on and blinks then disappears and the car starts.
