I ordered the set on Sat, they arrived on Friday. First off, I'll say that the finish of these stocks is superb. The Charter set was in high gloss, not my favorite, but the Cherry color really pops with gloss. The Walnut stocks are in matte and they look superb. The fit is also superb with absolutely zero play or gaps.Altamont grips are laminate grips made up of layers of thin birch wood then impregnated with some type of acrylic under pressure so the finish is through the wood layers.
